Vitamin B5
Description: Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) is needed for energy production and creation of the neurotransmitter acetycholine. It is also needed for synthesis of cholesterol and to release energy from fat. Pantothenic acid is also needed to activate the adrenal glands.1
Vitamin B deficiency is rare except in the case of alcoholism.
Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, and Pantothenic Acid appear to be of great use to athletes in reaching their full potential.

Some research suggests that patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis may be deficient in Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid).
